Saturday, March 19, 2005 - new responsibilty

Haaay.I wasn't able to blog last night.
It was already about 10pm when I got home.

My favorite tv series was shown late last night.
I was able to watch it! (Full House)
I also watched another korean series, STH.

Ooops.I don't wanna talk about Jessie and Justin or what happened in those series.
I just wanna say something about what happened to me.

Actually, I only had one 8-9am phlo class yesterday.
Our group had a philosophical discussion. Our topic, Requiring up graduates to work here in the country before going abroad. Well, it's nice to hear the diffferent opinions of my groupmates. My teacher in phlo also returned our 1st exam and also the second part of our 2nd exam. I was really worried in getting my exams! Why? It is because I wasn't able to study or even just open my note book and tale a look on my notes for the second part of our 2nd exam. I didn't even have a bluebook on that morning. I was disspointed on myself. I really wanted to cry while I was taking the examination.
Going back to the results, my first exam was ok. Actually, I got a perfect score in it. (Naks!) The first exam is about the philo history. It was easy for me not only because I really studied for it ( even weeks before, coz the coverage seemed long)but also I already took socsci2. I had already beeen familiarized with some of the philosophers and their ideas.
Then, I got my 2nd phlo exam.IO kept telling myself and my teacher that i flunked that test. But, when I got my test, my teacher said that I passed! (pasang awa nga lang ata pero imagine! di ko talaga alam na may exam nun!masaya ako syempre. pero lalo ata akong nanghinayang dahil maaring akong makakuha ng mataas na grade sa phlo kung alam ko lang na may exam.mdali alng ung exam kugn nagaral ako at naalala ko yung mga tinuro. Kasi analysis at konting memorization lang ang kelangan sa exam. Ni hindi ko lama yung truth table!)

After my phlo class, I went to my teacher in stat1-lab. I got my quizzes and long exam. My stat long quiz score passed. (pasang awa ulit) But I still think I'm lucky taht I passed although when I tried to answer the long quiz again, i found that it was easy if i really studied for it. I also asked my prof about my standing. It is passing. I don't want to take the final exam.According to her computations, I need to have a score of 72 in the PFE in order to be exempted in the finals.

I went home to study for my stat prefinal exam. I wasn't able to study much. I felt sleepy. Any way, I took the exam from 4-7pm. It was really difficult! I didn't memorize many formulas that was needed in the exam. I will just pray and hope that I'm going to be exempted in the finals.

After the exam, my friends and I went to the SU building to prepare for the elections of new officers for in our organization. Two of my sis bought manila paper. Many of us brought pentelpens. Some wrote the nominees on the manila paper. I cut the paper where we will write our votes.

It was already past 7pm and yet there are only few members of the org present so we ate dinner first. We bought different viands and shared it with each other.
I was surprised after we ate our dinner. It really didn't enter into my mind that the children on the other table was really waiting for us to finish dinner. They asked my friends for the left over foods. I pitied them. I was also guilty because I ate a lot of food. My plate was empty already. I also took the last piece of potato from the caldereta. The children had nothing to it but only the left over sauce, and chicken (buto na nga lang halos.) I am very fortunate, that I have still eat 3 times a day.

After our dinner, we held our elections. Well, I voted the people whom I think are responsible and capable of handling the task. Unforutnately, most of my votes, didn't win. Yes. I think only 4 of my votes won.
I'm not sure of the reason, people voted for me.Is it because there were only 2 candidates in the position. May be thay trust me and think that I am capable of handling it. I really hope that I can. The positon is diffuclt ot handle bacuse of the responsibilties. It is diffucult to handle alone. However, it would not be that difficult, if all the members of my commitee will be functional, and responsible.
I hope that I will choose the right person for my committee. I also hope that the members will be willing to cooperate and also be responsible. I hope that the members will realize that their already members of an academic organization and that they have responsibilties to the org even as a member. I wish that I will not be seeing the same faces every meeting and every activities. I'm not saying that I hate the smae people. No. What I wanna say is that, the same people are attending the meetings and are present in our activities. I don't know what is happening on the other members. May be, there is always a reason for not attending meeting and activities. However, yesterday was an important event of our organization. It is the election.It is the time when you will choose whom you want to lead the org, the ones who will guide the organization and make sure that that organization will change for the better. It is the time when you will choose people you think are suitable for the position.It is the time when you perform your right as a member and be heard. very vote counts.

I didn't say many things last night. Ang sabi ko lang gagawin ko ang part ko, sana gawin din niyo ang sa inyo. Gusto ko lang naman maging responsible ang lahat.
Naalal ko lang. Tinutukso nga pala ako dun sa isa kong friend. Sana di siya nagagalit. Ang ingay tuloy kahagabi. Haaay...

Ok. I already used an hour writing here. I will be going out this afternoon.
We will be having some sort of activity from 2-4pm. I hope that we will enjoy. We will also be having an execom meeting this afternoon. I hope that I will be able to contribute many ideas.

(nakalimutan ko sabihin ang position ko. FINCOM HEAD. parang excited na ko! Ang alm ko pa lang na fxn ko ay pangongolekta ng fees from the members. Mahirap yun. Nagyon pa nga lang di pa ata ayos ang accts na marami. Tapos kelangan din makakalap ng funds. Hmmm..Isip isip. Kung me suggestions naman kayo sa'kin. pls. magleave kayo ng msg sa chattersbox ko. Dapat na rin ata ako mangalap ng pang rummage!!!)
